Pressure Anxiety

  • Deadlines
  • “To-do”-lists
  • Goals
  • Performing
  • Being at the top
  • Competing

Does this list sound familiar, especially at the beginning of a new year?

Pressure towards achievement is a common feature for many of us.
A burning desire to succeed can help, in some cases, push us a step forward but in the long run, it can become pressure anxiety.

We can let it go. Letting go doesn’t mean giving up, not caring. Sometimes letting go means focusing on the moment, being conscious of what one is experiencing here and now instead of thinking already about the next item on the “to-do list”.

It is positive to establish goals, but even better is to figure out our values. The best goal you can establish is to live according to your values enjoying the moment and live up to it.
